TMA Mondays: Food Resolutions

New year, new goals! If you're like me, one of those goals is to try new restaurants for TMA and for myself. If you're wondering where to start, check out Thrillist's best new restaurants of 2018 list.

Chick fil-a released its list of top ordered items in 2018. It's no surprise that waffle fries are the most ordered item, but why is the spicy chicken sandwich all the way at no. 10?!

Also, Lidl the German grocery store is opening several locations in Atlanta over the next few weeks. For each grand opening, the first 100 customers will get gift certificates, so mark you calendars.

Our Pick of the Week

Oven Baked Salmon - Back to eating like a sensible human being this week. One the menu for me is salmon, specifically, this recipe by Immaculate Bites for oven baked salmon. Try it out!

Tilth, Seattle - Yes I know it's in Seattle, but I visited Tilth for the first time when I went home for break and their baked eggs served at brunch were divine!

New Sh*t in Town

Fudo, Chamblee - Fudo is a new made-to-order Japanese restaurant that opens today! They'll be hosting a grand opening today from 4-9 which includes wine, sake and sushi tastings.

Slim & Husky's, Westside - This Nashville joint will be expanding to Atlanta soon. Their first location will be in midtown with a second location for follow soon after. Their signature pizzas include hip hop inspired dishes like "California Love" , Nothing but a 'V' thang" and more.

Aix and Tin Tin, Westside - Opened late last year, Aix and accompanying wine bar Tin Tin want to transport you to France. The restaurant is named After Aix-de-Provence, a southern French city, their wine menu includes an extensive collection of French wines and the food dishes are reminiscent of the chef's childhood.

Atlanta, What's Happening?

Free Bartending Workshop , 01/07 - If bartending is always something you've wanted to get into, then you should definitely attend this free workshop hosted at the Fairview Public Library. Learn the skills you need to get a job bartending.

Pastabilities with Sauce, 01/12 - Learn how to make pasta from scratch at this cooking class with Chef Aiesha.
