Rose Cafe, LA

Rose Cafe, LA

Coca-Cola is actively branching out to other beverages/markets. First it was coffee company Costa, this week its Nigerian Company Chi Ltd. Coca-Cola Co. has bought a 40% stake in the company with plans to invest more.

After 7 years at their Midtown location, Barrelhouse made the move to Old Fourth Ward. They've opened with a refreshed menu, and expanded kitchen.

Our Pick of the Week

Ike's Café and Grill, Norcross - The nice thing about moving to Atlanta is the easy access to Nigerian restaurants. This week I demolished some nice red red (beans) and plantain and asun. Blessed.

Pumpkin Coffee Cake Muffins - This recipe by Half Baked Harvest reminds me of the delicious banana streusel cake my friend brought to class this week. Treat yourself.

New Sh*t in Town

Root Baking Company, Ponce City Market - Root Baking Company packed up from Charleston and moved to Atlanta. They serve 'european-style' bread, pastries and more. They also mill their  grain in-house. If you're looking for a bakery who's goods have lots of love and hard work put into them, Root Baking Co sounds like a place to try.

Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse, Dunwoody - There is a new steakhouse in town and its Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse. The restaurant group recently opened this 11,000 sqft space featuring a menu of wet and dry steaks, and even wagyu. Check them out when next you want to splurge.

Ramen Station, Grant Park - Ramen station opened a few weeks ago in Larkin on Memorial. As you can expect by the name, they serve ramen. You can expect the popular tonkotsu, shio  style broths. They also serve a tsukemen dipping broth as well as a nice array of appetizers.
