TMA Mondays: Summer Festivals

It's actually summer, like real summer, 80 degree weather summer, festivals every weekend summer, and I'm loving it! There's lots of food news and openings this week but I'll try to give them to you in quick bites.

Chandler's Crabhouse in SLU is closing this fall, make sure to stop by before they do! Pagliacci Pizza is also closing their original store and they'll be giving out free pizzas on Thursday July 26th to celebrate the store's almost 40 year run. After a pretty short run, 'Table has also closed their doors.

Tsuta, the Michelin star ramen restaurant will soon be making its way to Seattle. Super Bueno began lunch service this past weekend and  while we anticipate Little Fish's grand opening, they'll be hosting a lunch series at Jarrbar. Oh and if you're looking for a fun movie night, Motif Seattle is having a rooftop summer movie series

Our Pick of The Week

Tall Grass Bakery, Ballard - Best brioche rolls I've had in Seattle. Hands down! They are so soft and fluffy and they always run out so try to visit early in the day.

Lemonade - We are experiencing those few weeks in summer where it's almost unbearably hot. Why not cool down with a refreshing drink. Try this recipe for Louisiana Lemonade by Six Sister Stuff.

New Sh*t in Town

Le Coin, Fremont - This past weekend, French restaurant Le Coin opened in Restaurant Roux's old space. The new restaurant will be serving French American dishes and from the few teaser pics we've seen on their Facebook, the food looks good!

Seattle Freeze, Georgetown - Seattle Freeze is currently in their soft open phase but their donuts and soft serve ice cream are available for sale NOW! Expect fun flavors like matcha, ube, black sesame and more! You can keep track of their hours on their Instagram.

Raised Doughnuts, Central District - Have you been tracking Raised Doughnuts pop-ups and attending each one? OR perhaps you've been meaning to attend a pop-up but haven't got the chance. Well, now they have a permanent home in Central district. Stop by for some doughnut goodness, they've been selling out fast!

Seattle, What's Happening?

Magnuson Park Night Market, 07/19 - It is Food festival season. This Thursday, enjoy an evening in the park filled with food, local booths and a live music stage.

Bite of Seattle, 7/20 - 07/22 - The yearly bite of Seattle festival is back. Enjoy free admission and get access to a ton of food and craft vendors, drinks and live entertainment. Make sure you don’t forget to stop by "the Alley" and get 6 large bites from some of Seattle's top restaurants!

Revel Butchery Class, 07/22 -  If you're looking to try something new this weekend how about a butchery and BBQ class? The class will be led by Rachel Yang (trove and Revel) and you'll get to learn butchering as well as some marinades.
