TMA Mondays: T for Taco
At first I was wondering I wondering why there were so many taco events this week and then I remembered it's Cinco de Mayo on Saturday! If you've already got your drink plans covered, this TMA Monday will get you covered for food!
Our Pick of the Week
Westman's Bagel & Coffee, Capitol Hill - I finally visited this joint last weekend or so. I highly recommend their B.E.C. sandwich, and they are open on weekends now for those of you who can't make it on weekdays. One thing I hope they figure out is their wait time, love the bagels but I don’t want to stand for 40mins on a Saturday morning.
Sorbet - I was in NOLA this past weekend and at JazzFest I had the most amazing, refreshing, mango freeze. I've tried looking for recipes online, but none of them seem right. However, I did find recipes for sorbet which can be made using any fresh fruit of your choice. It's getting warm enough outside, this sorbet how-to by the Kitchn will keep you refreshed.
New Sh*t in Town
20 Oz Tea, Eastlake - There is nothing better than having more bubble tea options. Thanks to new shop 20 Oz Tea, you get just that! They serve iced and milk teas with flavors like brown sugar milk tea and lychee green tea.
The Organic Coup, Downtown - The Organic Coup just opened in the Columbia Tower building downtown and theur whole schtick is that their menu is 100% USDA certified organic. Oh and did I mention that it’s a fast food place? Those are two things you don’t normally see together.
