Allergy season is upon is in a strong way! And while we may be sneezing our way through the week, the bees have been busy. Including, the Seattle food scene. New restaurants and unique events abound. Mangosteen 206 - I stopped by the SLU market this weekend on stopped by the Mangosteen 206 food stand. Their chicken wings were bomb AF. Definitely stop by and try them out at the SLU market on Saturday!

Brookies - Do you love brownies and cookies? Are you constantly torn on which to get when you have the option? Well then, this Brookie recipe from SImply recipes is for you. I saw it and immediately had to share. Enjoy!

 

New Sh*t in Town

Cortina, Downtown - Angela and Ethan Stowell have added a new restaurant to their list. Cortina is a new Italian restaurant in the Two Union Tower downtown. The menu includes everything from Buratta to Linguine Nero. Plus, their wine menu offers a wide selection of old and new world wines. Stop by and try Cortina for yourself!

Super Bueno, Fremont - The Stowell's are busy bees! Barely days after opening Cortina above, they've opened Super Bueno, a Mexican focused restaurant. This new joint is family friendly serving the usual like Tacos and Quesadillas.  Their desert options look great too, churros, horchata ice cream and more.

The Taste of West Seattle 2018, 05/24 - Looking to pig out on a Thursday evening? Get tickets for the taste of west Seattle and nom on all sorts of goodies from over 50 restaurants, bakeries, chocolatiers and more! The event is 21+ and 100% of the proceeds go to West Seattle Helpline.

Food Art Collection: Sunday Supper, 05/27 - If you like eating food, maybe you'll like spending your Sunday admiring food art. Jeremy Bubens is starting a new series called Sunday supper where artists get to exhibit their food theme art. This Sunday is featuring artist Zachary Pacleb. Did I mention the exhibit if free to the public?
