Ugly Delicious - I know this isn't a recipe or an ingredient, but this new Netflix show not only makes my eyes hungry it feeds my curiosity for all things food. The key is to watch it when you're eating.

 

New Sh*t in Town

Oro Kitchen, South Lake Union - Famous Manu Bodega of Manu's tacos is bringing bowls to SLU for weekday lunches. It's set up to be fast casual, so stop by and grab yourself a bowl with their "gold nugs" to go.

Nine Pies Pizzeria, Sodo - Founded by previous co-founder of Via Tribulani, this pizzeria is less Neapolitan but all New York. It’s attached to the Nine Hats Wine. The menu seems like it has all the traditional favorites and even gluten free!

Frankie & Jo's, Ballard - If you are an avid fan of this vegan ice cream and live closer to Ballard, rejoice because F&J's is opening this Friday March 2nd.

Super Bueno, Wallingford - Ethan Stowell is at it again. This time with Mexican food that is coming with a cafe attached. It will open in late spring, and is catered for families. The adults can indulge in the food, while the kids can enjoy the play area within the same space.

At Home Coffee Brewing, 3/2 - Do you think your calling is to be a barista? Or are you just a coffee lover? Well this class by indi chocolate is for you and you leave not only with knowledge but also with a 12oz bag of coffee beans.

Allstate Hot chocolate 5k/15k , 3/4 - What's the difference between this race and all the others? Instead of just water stations there are sweet stations for marshmallows, chocolate chips and M&Ms, also at the end there is hot cocoa waiting for you. Who said you have to run, you can walk it too.

Penn Cove Mussel fest, 3/3- 3/4 - Don't have plans for this weekend? Take a trip to the small town of Coupeville on Whidbey Island to taste Penn Cove's world famous mussels, take a boat tour of their farm, and more.

Seafood feast, 3/4 - Tavolata is hosting a Sunday feast with a three course menu. Chef Joel DeBilzan is cooking up the best oysters, prawns, king salmon and Dungeness crab of the season.
