TMA Mondays: Back to the Grind

We are back. Our hiatus was unexpected but we should've seen it coming with the way we had planned our extended holiday vacations. If you follow us and watch our Instagram stories you witnessed us eating a lot and blogging very little. If you didn't, don’t worry the recap posts are coming soon.

This TMA Monday marks us officially back in the steady flow of TMA routine for 2018 (hopefully) and boy do we have a lot to share.

Our Pick of the Week

Midnight Cookies Co, Fremont - I had their cookies for the first time yesterday and was surprised by the wide selection (they even have vegan for those who are non-gluten, non-dairy). They also have happy hour deals where you can get full tilt ice cream with a certain number of cookies. Too lazy to leave? They deliver to select areas too.

Slow Cooker Braised Goat - Apparently January is national slow cooked meals month, and in honor of that I'm throwing it back to our slow cooked goat recipe.

New Sh*t in Town

Gyu Kaku, Bellevue - Think Japanese version of Korean BBQ. The menu has preset 3 course meal options to make ordering easier for any size party. You can also got a-la carte and choose from a wide selection. They are currently only taking limited reservations as part of the soft open.

Café An'Clair, South Lake Union - Eltana's Bagels SLU location has been replaced by this new coffee shop. Those who were regulars at Eltana's for a quick breakfast/lunch bite, can still get breakfast and lunch sandwiches here.

Reckless Noodle House, Capitol Hill - Their opening menu is small but expected to grow.  So what is reckless about it, not clear except for that they claim to have "Reckless Flavor." Only one way to find out...

La Messe, Eastlake - On Friday, Chef Owner Brian Clevenger opened another wholesome pasta & vegetable restaurant that stays true to his culinary favorites and most famous dishes. If you love his restaurants in Madrona and West Seattle but live closer to Lake Union, this one is for you.

Westman's Bagels, Capitol Hill - The bagel place we have all been patiently waiting for since last year is finally open, Mondays - Fridays from 7am. So, those lucky enough to live close by can grab a fresh bagel to-go for their morning commute to work.

Seattle, What's Happening?

Lil' Woody's Burger Month, 1/30 - 2/26th - Tuesday is the start of the first week for Lil Woody's Burger month where they team up with a chef from a different restaurant every week to serve a signature burger. This week will be the chef from Café Juanita serving a Ranch Lamb burger

Full Tilt Eat Ice Cream for Breakfast Pajama Party, 2/3 - Full Tilt is going all out for celebrating National Ice Cream for Breakfast day! They'll be serving waffles a la mode with breakfast flavored ice cream as well as the classic breakfast drinks like orange juice, milk, etc. They are inviting you to come in your favorite pajamas, so you can literally roll out of bed to go eat ice cream on Saturday.
