TMA'ed while jamming to Bumpa by DJ Neptune, Falz & Ycee

What's the move this week? Well Lunch is back at Mama Cantina's. Mama Cantina's is the reincarnation/ continuation of Mama's Mexican Kitchen which has been operating for over 43 years in Belltown. It closed, then it reopened shortly after under new management and a new name. Now lunch is back. Expect traditional Mexican fare, stiff drinks and "plenty of love".

If brunch is your jam, The Dunbar Room in Hotel Sorrento has added a jazzy brunch to the menu. A jazzy brunch that includes $15 bottomless mimosas. Every Sunday from 10am - 2pm you can enjoy brunch while being serenaded with some smooth tunes.

Tigerly Ox closed their original Wallingford location last week. Not to fear, the Central District location is still here and it seems like they still have plans to expand to SLU and Downtown in the future.

Farestart is launching a paid apprenticeship program for low-income food service workers and Amazon is donating 25, 000 square feet of training and dining space to support this effort. They (Farestart) plan on opening five more eateries in Seattle and their big goal is to fund raise about 6 million in remaining operating expenses necessary to develop, launch and sustain the new apprenticeship program and build capacity for the expansion.

Our Pick of the Week

Foreign National, Capitol Hill - It may be smaller than it looks in pictures, but Foreign National bar has some good vibes and good cocktails. It's a great spot to chill while you wait for your seats at Stateside. It's also a great spot to just chill.

Nigerian Stew - I made stew this week for work. It's one of my favorites, so it probably won't make it to the end of the week. I thought I'd re-share my recipe for Nigerian stew so you too could partake in my joy.

New Sh*t in Town

Rhein Haus, Tacoma - There is a new Rhein Haus in town. The popular German bocce haus and beer hall opened a new location in Tacoma this past weekend and well, there were lines wrapped around the block. If you happen to be in Tacoma, be sure to check out the new 13,000 square foot space with two bars, a 1065 square foot patio and food of course.

Alchemy, Junction - Alchemy is a new "chemistry- inspired" craft cocktail bar and restaurant that is opening in the Junction neighborhood come March. If their Facebook page is anything to go by, they'll be serving some Instagram-worthy cocktails as well as shareable plates.

Seattle, What's Happening?
